FIELD NETWORK COMMUNICATION SOLUTION FOR ENERGY UTILITIES
This solution is usable for energy utilities which are providing more services for their electricity network and better service for their customers and are capable to modernise and upgrade field communication networks to IP-level, higher bandwidth and better quality.
Field network communication service provides managed, scalable, secured, redundant and 2-way communication infrastructure between disconnectors, transformers and electrical substations and network control rooms. The service relies mainly on Emtele's Managed Remote Communication service, in which industry specific critical devices and configurations are embedded. The service provides distinct and open interfaces for the Customer field devices. The used communication equipment for the solution are designed for demanding environment and are utilised many years in energy sector.
Through Emtele's service center the installed and connected asset can be easily monitored, controlled and maintained during the whole service life cycle (add, change and remove). Emtele takes care of the service maintenance and technology development during the whole service time frame. For example in the first phase of service the communication bandwidth capacity in satellite-IP equipment can be lower and can be upgraded gradually later without changes in equipment. High service availability within decent costs is enabled by an appropriate local electricity network independent satellite network configuration. Installation service as an option.
